Sometimes
people especially Nigerians like
inflicting Pains on themselves.
Take a
look at this area called Jambutu in Yola Adamawa State where the residents
intentionally blocked the whole drainage system with buildings. Now at the
slightest Rainfall, the whole area is almost submerged. Infact residents would
be awake to make sure that the flood does not
enter into their apartments but most often the flood enters
even the bedroom and destroys some valuables. Despite all these, it has not occurred
to the residents to create an
alternative drainage system for the flood yet the same people that blocked the
drainage system are calling the government to come and do this and that for
them. Am moved to ask, did God
wash away our sins or our senses? You answer is as good as mine. We all
need to help the government to serve us better. If we cannot do good
things without been
coerced then there is problem with our head.
Citizens lets not wait to be told to use our common sense ooooooo
This is just one case out of the many cases of blocked drainage system in cities within Nigeria.
