Sociologists say that
culture defines how a society operates, it is not only the way of life of a
people but the way the society is organised and structured.
To holistically understand
this view, A Sociologist defines, culture as “the whole complex of forms of
feelings, acting, and thinking shared by a society which allows members of the
group to survive, provides them a sense of identity and belonging and gives
their lives meaning”.
From this definition, we see
how important culture is and how no one can escape culture.
Infact culture is almost a
second nature to us. The way we react and think is because of our cultural
antecedant and background.
In
line with the above, the crown prince of Benin Kingdom Prince, Eheneden
Erediauwa and the Edaiken N’ Uselu, has today began the journey towards his
Palace coronation as the 39th Oba of Benin.
Already,
the Crown Prince had relocated to Edaiken Palace, Uselu since May 2016,
following the transition of the Benin Monarch and his father, Oba Erediauwa in
line with the Benin culture and tradition.
The
Uselu Palace Chiefs and residents of Uselu Community, youth, women and members
of the Benin Royal Palace Chiefs accompanied Prince Eheneden Erediauwa from his
Edaiken Palace to Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, amid tight
security.
