As the battle for the Alausa Government House heats up, the question returns back to self, who Becomes the Next Governor Of Lagos State? Sanwo-Olu of APC or Jimi Agbaje of PDP.

Furthermore, the question of where the Igbo lies in the calculation is the undoubtedly the final answer to the question.

It is important to reveal that Lagos State as it is under political contention now is actually dominated by many tribes aside the indigenes of the State.

As it stands, majority of the many tribes in Lagos is dominantly the Igbo people.
Hinging on this angle, it is important to state that no doubt, who will be the Next Governor Of Lagos State is largely on the table of the direction the Igbos choose to head in March 2019 gubernatorial election in the state.

It is imperative to remind the igbos at this juncture that the current political status quo of Lagos has not only been unfriendly but is schemed to diminish and restrict the freedom which an average igbo man enjoys with his businesses.

It is still very fresh in our memories how a certain Oba in Lagos openly threatened to throw Igbos into the lagoon which till today he remains unapologetic. Oba Akiolu was quoted thus “On Saturday, if anyone of you, I swear in the name of God, goes against my wish that Ambode will be the next governor of Lagos State, the person is going to die inside this water”.

The above statement by the oba, brings to mind the very many injustices meted to the igbos under the administration of former Governor Babatunde fashola and currrent Governor Ambode.

Igbos won’t forget in a hurry the many politically instigated demolishing of markets within the state. The popular Oshodi Market, Yaba market, Sabo market in Ikorodu and a host of others readily come to mind.

It is very true even to strangers that Lagos State as promising and as endowed as it is, it is under "bondage". Source of which is a man in Bourdillion.

Jimi Agbaje comes to the rescue, saying "free the People and potentials and resources of Lagos for the people of Lagos". That is one point of similarity with the Igbos. The Igbos love freedom! Hence, they love Jimi Agbaje.

Jimi Agbaje wants Lagos to be free to actualise it's full potentials. Jimi Agbaje sees a time where in Lagosians will do business freely without having to be connected to any "landlord" in Lagos.

The Igbos need a good and free business environment as such, hence they stand with the Jimi Agbaje candidacy.

The days of using the lagoon to scare the Igbos in Lagos is not what will come to play ever again, not in March 2019 when Lagosians go to the polls.
The days of a "landlord" being in charge of the affairs of the people of Lagos and even tax them indirectly in the process will end in 2019 via the Jimi Agbaje candidacy.

The future and interest of Igbo Lagosians is rather secured with the Jimi Agbaje candidacy.

A vote for any other candidate aside Jimi Agbaje of PDP is a vote for the continued dominance of Lagos by the "Pharaoh of Lagos" who doubles as the "Landlord of Lagos in Bourdillion".

A free Lagos is a Lagos for all. A free Lagos is free Lagos indeed. Come 2019, anything less than a free Lagos is another four years of Pharoah.
A free Lagos is a Lagos every Igbo man and woman hopes for. A free Lagos is only guaranteed via the candidacy of Jimi Agbaje.
