Gov Ugwuanyi Splashes Cash On Injured Egwim



Injured Rangers striker, Ifeanyi Egwim, received a million naira donation from Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, when the Governor paid him a visit in hospital.
Rangers doctor announced that the striker, who suffered a double leg fracture during Sunday’s championship decider at home against El-Kanemi Warriors, should be back on the pitch in four months time, after Egwim was operated on twice.
Ugwuanyi visited Egwim at the National Orthopedic Hospital in Enugu Tuesday to wish him quick recovery.
Meanwhile, Ranger coach, Imama Amapakabo has said he is open to renewing his contract with Enugu Rangers after it officially ended following the completion of the 2015-2016 NPFL season on Sunday. The former Enyimba FC assistant coach guided the Flying Antelopes to a record tying 7th league crown and also ended a 32-year wait for the league title.
Though, he admits he would love to continue his project with the newly crowned champions, the Coach stressed his expects new terms on the contract with an upward review of his wages.
Speaking with footballlive.ng he joked about the recession-hit Nigerian economy and the current Naira exchange rate.

“Even the dollar rate to the Naira has changed (laughs), I expect that I am worth more than I was at the beginning of last season. My contract with Rangers officially ended on the last day of the season, but I hope they want me. So we will have to sit down and discuss a new contract.’
