Chelsea would be looking to consolidate on their new
formation after securing a vital win against Hull city in their last time out
before the international break. A win which Chelsea boss Antonio Conte described
as a relief after previously suffering two straight defeats in the hands of
Liverpool and Arsenal.
In his pre match conference, Chelsea boss said the
game against Leicester is not going to be easy but he hopes to get the maximum
point “In the past, we played with four, but the facts
speak. When you concede many goals and you are not compact the manager and
players must find a solution. For this reason, it’s important to go the other
way,” he said.
“Now we have
another solution and tactical system. We can play with three at the back or
four, it depends on the game but I think this is a good way.
Chelsea’s John
Terry remains a doubt for the game and continues to struggle with a knee
injury, whilst the game seems to have come just too soon for long-term
absentee, Kurt Zouma.
On the side Claudio Ranieri
admitted that a lack of rotation may be to blame for his stalemate with
Southampton.
“I have to think when we play every three days and
maybe at the end of the 22 days it was much better to give some rest to some
players.” The Italian said
Leicester only have
Matt James as an absentee and Claudio Ranieri could name an unchanged line-up
from the side that drew with Southampton in the last time out.
The game would be live on skysports
by 12:30pm
