The incoming governor of Edo state, Mr Godwin Obaseki
has stated that he has no plans of incorporating people from the opposition
into his cabinet.
He stated this while speaking with some selected
journalist yesterdsay at Benin in Edo state.
He noted that it is unfortunate that he has some good
friends including families on the other side of the political spectrum but that
wouldn’t change his mind on not including opposition into his cabinet.
He further stated that irrespective of
his decision not to incorporate people from the opposition into his cabinet,
that he is a governor
of Edo people and not APC people, that he would adequately deliver
the dividends of democracy to
the people of Edo state while also calling for support from all sons and daughters of Edo state
irrespective of political affiliations or religious inclination.
