Man was created with will, every
individual on earth has a will. Why did God create man with a will? Because we
were made from the dust,we are human not robotS, it is only a robot that can be
controlled because it doesn't have a will.
The origin of man started with will
in Gen 2:16-17, that's the principles of choices.God gave Adam a will either to
obey him or obey the devil but unfortunately, he succumb to the devil through
his wife Eve.
Just as human being has will, Satan
has a will also (cf Isaiah 14:12-14, John 10:10). Angels has a will that's why one
third of angels who rebelled against God were chased from heaven due to the
choice they made.
When your will is under attack, your
zeal towards God will be lukewarm, lazy and carefree.
Examples of will under attack was the
strongest man called Samson Manoah, despite the promises and covenant between
him and God, he became obsessed with women. He showed his love for women of
easy virtues rather than women of substance. This decision became a trap that
destroyed his destiny. The choice he made opened door for his enemies to come
and turn him into another man. He only had physical strength but lacked
spiritual strength (cf Judges 16:15-17). The day he met Delilah, his will for
God was truncated.
In contrast, Joseph was able to take
a better decision when his master’s wife Potiphar wanted him to sleep with her,
his inner man was gallant. (cf Genesis 39:7-9), especially verse 10.
That single decision to resist his
master’s wife singled Joseph out for God’s blessings
In conclusion, in the race of life, there
are time to stay and time to run. So plant God's words into your will. (cf Ephesians 6:13)
