See What Policemen Were Caught doing With Prostitutes

The Provost Unit of the Lagos state police command is investigating 11 policemen attached to the Taskforce on Environment and Special Offence Uni Alausa Ikeja, for allegedly raping some ladies suspected to be prostitutes in the state.

According to a report by National Mirror, the policemen were arrested alongside 6 Civil Defence Corps officials and 5 Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) personnel over allegations that the officials allegedly raped the prostitutes during a joint raid operation said to be led by the Vice Chairman of the Taskforce on Environment and Special Offences Unit one DSP Salami.

A source at the governor’s office Alausa, Ikeja revealed that the arrest of the officials follows a petition by the Lagos state Governor, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode to the Lagos state Commissioner of police, Mr. Fatai Owoseni.

The source said “A human rights group drew governor Ambode’s attention to the plight of the prostitutes. They alleged that they were harassed and raped when a combined team of taskforce men, civil defence Corp and KAI brigade personnel carriedout raid in the state. The prostitutes took the photographs of the men and they alleged that they were raped and treated badly. The photo showed Salami’s face coordinating the raid”.

Continuing, the source said “ Following the compliant, the governor wrote a petition to the Lagos state police boss and the CP ordered the arrest of 11 taskforce police officials, 6 Civil Defence Corp officials and 5 KAI brigade personnel over allegations that they raped the prostitutes”.
